چکیده
Abstract Purpose To compare quantitative visual tests, such as acuity, contrast sensitivity, and color vision tests in patients with primary open-angle glaucoma (POAG) according to three different light systems color-rendering index (CRI). Methods This was a cross-sectional study of 36 eyes POAG. Three consisting 3-band fluorescent lamp (CRI 80), white LED 75), quantum dot > 95) were used. All lights had the same illuminance 230 lx exclude effects. The testing included best-corrected acuity (BCVA) using an ETDRS chart, CSV-1000E test, test performed by Farnsworth Munsell 100-hue test. Results There no significant difference BCVA ( p = 0.86). differences detail 0.95, 0.94, respectively, 0.64). between 0.042). scores significantly lower than those (p 0.03 0.047, respectively). Conclusions POAG did not show scores, expressed black symbols, systems. However, tested under could distinguish better other

Different optineurin mutation pattern in primary open-angle glaucoma.
PURPOSE The optineurin gene (OPTN) is the second gene besides MYOC in which mutations have been identified to be associated with primary open-angle glaucoma (POAG). In this study, sequence alterations in the OPTN gene associated with POAG in Chinese subjects were investigated. METHODS All the coding exons of OPTN were screened, including the intron-exon boundaries, for sequence alterations in...
متن کاملDifferent WDR36 mutation pattern in Chinese patients with primary open-angle glaucoma
PURPOSE To determine the distribution of WD repeat domain 36 (WDR36) sequence variants in Chinese patients with primary open-angle glaucoma (POAG). METHODS One hundred and thirty-five unrelated POAG patients (82 high tension glaucoma [HTG], 42 normal tension glaucoma [NTG], and 11 juvenile-onset POAG [JOAG] patients) and 77 unrelated controls were recruited. All 23 coding exons and splicing j...
متن کاملLack of association between LOXL1 variants and primary open-angle glaucoma in three different populations.
PURPOSE Significant association has recently been reported between pseudoexfoliation glaucoma (XFG) and two single-nucleotide polymorphisms (SNPs), rs3825942, and rs1048661, in the lysyl oxidase-like 1 gene (LOXL1). The purpose of this study was to investigate whether XFG-associated variants of LOXL1 play a significant role in primary open-angle glaucoma in the Caucasian, African-American, and ...
متن کاملAqueous Humor Levels of Soluble Fas and Fas-ligand in Patients with Primary Open Angle and Pseudoex-foliation Glaucoma
Background: Glaucoma is one of the most common causes of blindness and is usually associated with elevated intraocular pressure. In patients with primary open angle glau-coma the number of trabecular meshwork cells is decreased. Death of the trabecular meshwork cells may be a result of apoptosis. Objective: To investigate the aqueous humor levels of soluble Fas (sFas) and Fas-Ligand (sFasL) in ...
متن کاملAssociation between p53 Codon 72 (Arg72Pro) Polymorphism and Primary Open-Angle Glaucoma in Iranian Patients
Background: Glaucomatous neuropathy is a type of cell death due to apoptosis. The p53 gene is one of the regulatory genes of apoptosis. Recently, the association between the p53 gene encoding for proline at codon 72 and primary open-angle glaucoma (POAG) has been studied in some ethnic groups. This study is the first association analysis of POAG and p53 codon 72 polymorphism in Iranian patients...
